Wet Tensile Strength AKA WTS

Wet Tensile Strength Tester

When the wet sand mold is cast, the heat conduction generated by the molten iron makes the mold surface form a dry sand layer, and a water-supersaturated layer (that is, the area with the lowest strength in the sand mold) is formed outside the mold, and the interface will generate expansion stress and molten iron static pressure. Therefore, the wet mold sand must have a certain hot and wet tensile strength, and this test item is used for production parameter management and defect analysis.
